Mr. Auwal Haruna Mainingi graduated from Maisamari Primary School, in Taraba State in 1997 and proceeded to Holy Ghost Secondary School Abakaliki until 2000, before he transferred to Aliyu Musdapha College, Yola and Government Day Secondary School Karewa, Jimeta, respectively, and he graduated in 2006. Auwal was admitted to Federal College of Education, Adamawa, where he studied for his NCE in Computer Science and Mathematics in 2009. He started his career as a teacher and he taught in various Schools in Adamawa, including Sabilur-Rashad Academy, Yola in 2007 and Government Day Secondary School, Jada in 2008.

Auwal took up appointment with Gotel TV, Yola in 2009 - the only privately-owned television station in the State, where he served as both a TV Presenter and later took up the role of Marketing Officer. Auwal acquired wide range of experiences in communications and marketing, and when the vacancy was opened, he was appointed the Personal Assistant to the Honorable Commissioner of Youth and Sports, Ebonyi State, a job he performed excellently well. On his return to Adamawa, Auwal was appointed Education officer under the Post Primary Schools Management Board (PPSMB), and he served from 2012-2015.

Based on merit and past credible performance, Auwal was again nominated and appointed to the position of the Personal Assistant to the Honorable Commissioner for Health, Adamawa state from 2015-2019. In this role, Auwal was the first point of contact and was dealing with correspondences and the protocol services of the Commissioner.

Auwal is currently concluding his BSc degree at Moddibo Adama University, Yola in the area of Business Management. Auwal is joining Iya Patu Foundation as the Office Manager.
